I’m grateful for this food prep hack (thanks Lauren 😍 @booksonherbrain) on a weekly basis. Do I like Florida now? So glad I saw Kayla’s @idlewildreads gorgeous aesthetic reel for this book otherwise I wouldn’t have know it fit into my Year of Reading Scotland! Greetings from the couch in the only warmish room in our house. We've got a two-day cold snap happening in upstate NY and we plan to hunker down with homemade pizza, and endless fire, soccer games, and books. When your husband stumbles upon you in your natural habitat and must immortalize his luck in marrying such a treasure 😏 I wish I could say this is an anomaly but when you live in a drafty old house and are generally winter averse, this is how you read… My favorite read of 2022. I'm no stranger to retellings, but I can't say that I've ever read an Anne of Green Gables retelling. Until now! My mom made me this amazing ornament of all the books I’ve read in 2022 (we will add my Nov/Dec reads later). @etst has a super simple tutorial on how to do these. So many ways you could customize… Soaking up porch reading as much as I can while it lasts. It’s been a few books since I’ve picked a can’t-put-it-down, ignore-your-children type story. I’m a third of the way in to The Cartographers (which finally came through from my library holds in all its large print glory) and am immersed. It gives me Charlie Lovett vibes with its mystery and bookish setting.
